Later, Lakshmi's family comes for an alliance with Mayamohini, not knowing the truth. Pattela dies in the shootout that follows, and later Mohan is released of his charges. In the meantime, the cops arrive to arrest Mohan. Pattela invites 'her' to his room and tries to have sex with 'her'. Mohan gets dressed up as Mayamohini again.
Pattela is opening a new business (which is a fraud company) in town and on the inauguration day has arranged some dance as well. In the flashback it turns out that Mohanakrishnan's father, Sankaran Potti (Nedumudi Venu), a temple priest, was killed by Pattela and his manager Sanjay (Kazan Khan) to get hold of their property. She agrees to help them and tells all truth about Pattela, that she is a gangster and she was cheated by him years ago when being tricked to work in his company. They travel to Mumbai and there they meet Maya, who is working as a club dancer known by the name Katreena. Balakrishnan agrees to help him in his quest. He had been put into a trap by Patella and his men.
The story continues with many twists and later it is revealed that Mayamohini is a man named Mohanakrishnan, who the Kerala police had been searching for. But then, on the second day of the marriage Maya leaves him and returns to Mumbai.īalakrishnan didn't want his uncle to know that his wife left him, so he hires a woman Mayamohini (Dileep) to act as his wife. In the meantime Lakshminarayanan alias Lakshmi (Baburaj), a friend of Balakrishnan tries to convince Balakrishnan's uncle about the marriage and the uncle agrees to visit the couple. When Patella gets to know about their relation, he objects Maya elopes with Balakrishnan. He falls in love with Maya (Lakshmi Rai), the daughter of a wealthy businessman named Raj Kumar Patella (Mohan Sharma), who is settled in Mumbai. The boy grows up to be a young man Balakrishnan (Biju Menon), who is unsuccessful in anything he does. As per their astrologer, in the future he should marry a young woman whose star is Chothi Nakshatra, only then will he prosper in life. He is then looked after by his maternal uncle (Vijayaraghavan), and all the family's wealth will be inherited to him. Apart from facial makeup, bindis, chappals and nail polish has all been keenly attended to.The film starts with a plane accident in which a small child narrowly escapes. The highlight of the film has to be the makeup on Dileep by Roshan. News that came from the sets of Mayamohini is that the talented actor is paying keen attention to every aspect of the character, be it the looks, the gestures or the acting. Dileep has worked even harder in Mayamohini to make sure he is convincing enough as a seductive woman. His brilliant performance as an innocent guy with feminine traits in Chanthupottu, starring Indrajith, Gopika, Biju Menon and Bhavana is still fresh in our minds. It is a known fact that Dileep is capable of essaying myriad of roles. Though we all know that Dileep has worked extremely hard on his looks and performance, it remains to be seen if the public will accept Dileep as Mayamohini! The film is being touted as Dileep's best film till date. Jose Thomas's Mayamohini, which will see Dileep donning the role of a woman, is all set to release on Saturday, April 7th. He continues to be Maya, with whom Biju Menon falls in love with without understanding her real identity. Dileep's character, due to certain unavoidable circumstances dresses up as Mayamohini, a Mumbai girl. In this film Dileep is doing a female character. Mayamohini is an upcoming Malayalam film directed by Jose Thomas, starring Dileep, Lakshmi Rai, Biju Menon and Mythili in the lead roles.
